In November 1999, Shabina Mustafa’s maid’s daughter was refused admission to the neighbourhood sewing classes. “She cannot read or write”, they said. And thus, the Garage School was formed. This video screened at the 4th KaraFilm Festival in 2004. 17min. Directed by Mahera Omar.
