During the day children indulged in drawing, colouring, pot painting, building houses with recycled material and other such activities.

Eight children of the Garage School were invited to celebrate the International day of Disabled People organized by the Childrens’ Museum for Peace and Human Rights on the 3rd of December, 2007. It was a campaign where the children had earlier participated by collecting signatures on a petition for the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. Dewali Celebrations 2007On the 9th of November, 2007, we celebrated Dewali or Deepawali, “The festival of Light” by visiting three temples in the city with the Hindu and Sikh students along with Christian and Muslim teachers. It was a great experience. The temple in Clifton is right where the school is located, but noone had known about that place. It was underground on the main Kotari Parade area. Seems like a remains of a cave. A place worth a visit. It was called the “Shiv temple”.
