On December 1st 2007, Tahira and three other teachers attended a teachers’ training programme held at Family Educational Services Foundation run by Mary Rick. These courses help motivate the teachers and help improve their teaching abilities.

The Garage School documentary – 2004
In November 1999, Shabina Mustafa’s maid’s daughter was refused admission to the neighbourhood sewing classes. “She cannot read or write”, they said. And thus, the Garage School was formed. This film screened at the 4th KaraFilm Festival in 2004.
