Every month The Garage School (TGS) pays Rs 120,000 ($1395) as rent for its existing campus. Up to 400 students are cramped in a 3600 square feet space. On average 90 students are enrolled annually in TGS, further creating a shortage of space. We need to expand immediately!
The Garage School celebrated its 12th birthday on the 17th of November 2011. Although, the birthday falls on the 14th of November, we decided to celebrate it after 3 days as our guest, Sira Mehdi, from London was to visit us that day.
After being rejected at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad, for his open heart surgery, Asad Aurangzaib from Abbottabad got to know about The Garage School. He came to Karachi and during the medical checkup of The Garage School admission procedure, Mrs. Shabina got to know about his heart’s condition.
This year, The Garage School celebrated eid on three different days, with three post eid parties, two of them hosted by Mrs. Shabina Mustafa and one hosted by the teachers of The Garage School, the students and teachers had three times the fun.
