The Magic Show in the Park

The children were taken for a field trip to the park at Clifton. It was a bright and wonderful day.

They played and also enjoyed a magic show which was specially arranged for them. Later on the children went back to school where they got gifts and had dinner.

KungFu Panda and the Kids

The Garage School children got a perfect gift for Valentines Day, when they were called to watch KungFu Panda on the 14 Feb 2009 at the 7th Kara Film Festival.  The children along with the teachers  boardekara-film-kungu-panda-14feb-09-041.jpgkara-film-kungu-panda-14feb-09-026.jpgd the bus and went to see the thrilling animation.

The kids enjoyed the free lunch provided to them by the Kara Film organizers.

Young Savers Bank Accounts for TGS

Dr Aniqa and Mr Shehzad visited the Garage School on the 11 Feb 2009. Dr Aniqa told the parents about personal hygiene and answered the queries of the parents. Mr Shehzad Khan, Consumer Banking Head, Bankdr-aniqa-and-mr-shahzad-bank-al-habib-11-feb09-024.jpg Al dr-aniqa-and-mr-shahzad-bank-al-habib-11-feb09-006.jpgHabib Ltd, came the Garage School to give the children good news about their very own young savers accounts. He also told them the benefits of saving their money for future use.  The children were very excited to hear about this wonderful news.

Dr Anika at The Garage School

On February 3rd,2009 Dr Aniqa was appointed by the Garage School. On her first visit at the Garage School, 15 students along with their parents came to her for a checkup out of which six required medical attention and some were also in need of an ultrasound.

Mr. Gordons Visit to the school

Mr Gordons visited the “Garage School”and  spent time with the children.

The children enjoyed themselves and were hopeful for an Iftari for the next year.

First School Annual Function at DHA School

annual-function-01.JPGannual-function-02.JPG Ms Sadia Naweed gave away the certificates to the first group of women who passed the adult literacy course. We are very grateful to Sadia (EBM) for providing the children with biscuits from the inception of the school.

Aunty Zubeida gave away gold earings to the girls courtesy Shermeen ARY tv. The most successful part of the program was on pollution with special emphasis on “Black Plastic Bags (Kaala Bhoot)” which is a menace to society.

and Mrs. Ramla. The function turned out to be very successful and the invitees and parents enjoyed the program.

We would like to thank Mr. Jimmy Engineer who was kind enough to grace the occasion with his presence and gave away the bicycles to all the boys. Bicycle courtesy (Mobilink).

Admission Tests 18th and 19th August 2008

Admission Test 18th and 19th of August 2008 There was a stampede for admissions. Parents came along with there children as we usually interview the parents before we finally admit the child to the school. We managed to accommodate 62 children this year in both the branches.

Carpentery Classes 20th August 2008


carpentry4.jpgIt is mandatory for the students to join carpentry classes so that they can gain some vocational skills which would be helpful to them in the future.The carpenter is there the whole day teaching these children how to make different things.

First aid and recycle program at shah rasool colony

We provided stitched cloth bags to these families for proper disposal of glass, paper and tin which would be collected and recycled. Piggy banks were provided to save money which they could use after 6months of saving or when really needed. This way we are teaching them to save money and we call this project “Selling to Save”
