
Salvester who got burned during the Christmas vacation while playing with boys on the street near his home .He finally got his skin grafting/operation done at the Patel hospital (courtesy marium khan and Erum,He is on his way to recovery .After 3 months his arm too will get the skin grating done
We had a milad were all the students participated irrespective of class and creed .It was a small program and Mrs nina shaukat from London “Versa Magazine was invited .she enjoyed it a lot and went back with happy memories of the School and the Children .
Adult Literacy Programe was introduced on 22 jan 2008, with 25 women. The first session was completed on 25 Feb, 2008. These women have completed the first session and are now doing their grade two studies.
This year we have initiated an uplift project in Shah Rasool and Neelum Colony, two low-income neighbourhoods of Karachi. We plan to introduce adult literacy, recycling, first aid awareness, medical check-ups, and a savings program. Continue reading ‘Pilot Projects 2008′
On Sunday, 3rd February 2008, all the students of the Garage school throughly enjoyed themselves on a fun activity with Mary Reik and her volunteers. During the day children indulged in drawing, colouring, pot painting, building houses with recycled material and other such activities.

On 4th and 5th December, 2007, Dr. Amir And Dr. Ali came from Dr. Sarwath’s dental clinic for the annual checkup of the garage school children. All of them got to have their teeth checked out for any problems.
Mr. salman conducted a professional teachers’ training course at ERDC. This is a 6 month course which Tahira and I are attending. This will help us to better train our own teachers in the future.
