We are very grateful to Sadia (EBM) for providing the children with biscuits from the inception of the school.

The most successful part of the program was on pollution with special emphasis on “Black Plastic Bags (Kaala Bhoot)” which is a menace to society.

The first annual function was held at the DHA Darakshan School. This function could not have been possible without the support of Mrs Kaiser school-function-for-sharmeen-30thaug08-017.jpg

and Mrs. Ramla. The function turned out to be very successful and the invitees and parents enjoyed the program.

We would like to thank Mr. Jimmy Engineer who was kind enough to grace the occasion with his presence and gave away the bicycles to all the boys. Bicycle courtesy (Mobilink).

Parents came along with there children as we usually interview the parents before we finally admit the child to the school. We managed to accomodate 62 children this year in both the branches.

Those children who go to school in the morning are also made to come in the afternoon. Hoping one day we will open our own garage school furniture shop.

We provided stitched cloth bags to these families for proper disposal of glass, paper and tin which would be collected and recycled. Piggy banks were provided to save money which they could use after 6months of saving or when really needed. This way we are teaching them to save money and we call this project “Selling to Save”

We hired a professional teacher for them and now our total strength is 27. Sone of the women didnot know how to read the measuring tape and so they were suggested to join the maths adult literacy classes in the evening.
