On Sunday, 3rd February 2008, all the students of the Garage school throughly enjoyed themselves on a fun activity with Mary Reik and her volunteers. During the day children indulged in drawing, colouring, pot painting, building houses with recycled material and other such activities.

Mr. salman conducted a professional teachers’ training course at ERDC. This is a 6 month course which Tahira and I are attending. This will help us to better train our own teachers in the future.
Tahira and I attended the Christmas Mass with Mr And Mrs. D’Sa at 1000am. It was a great day with many people at the beautiful church.
On 24th evening, we celebrated christmas party along with Tahira’s and 9 other children’s birthday. The consul general of France and his wife spent the evening with the kids.
Eight children of the Garage School were invited to celebrate the International day of Disabled People organized by the Childrens’ Museum for Peace and Human Rights on the 3rd of December, 2007. It was a campaign where the children had earlier participated by collecting signatures on a petition for the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. On Friday, the 23rd of November 2007 at noon, all the children of the Garage School were taken to the Ibne Qasim park in Clifton, Karachi.
