Teachers’ Training Programme
On December 1st 2007, Tahira and three other teachers attended a teachers’ training programme held at Family Educational Services Foundation run by Mary Rick. These courses help motivate the teachers and help improve their teaching abilities.
Visit of Recycling Team
On 29th November, 2007 at 3pm, a team from recyclekarachi.org gave a presentation to the parents and children regarding the use of the 3 R’s – reduce, reuse and recycle of polythene bags.
Visit to Ibne Qasim Park
On Friday, the 23rd of November 2007 at noon, all the children of the Garage School were taken to the Ibne Qasim park in Clifton, Karachi. They were taken in through the big gate next to the Clifton mosque. It is a beautifully laid out green park along the beach.
Guru Nanak’s Birthday
On Saturday, November 24th 2007, we visited Gurdwara Guru Granth Saheb in Ranchore Lines, Karachi to celebrate the birthday of Guru Nanak, the first saint of the Sikh religion.
