ENGRO Unsung Heroes Award: (11th May 2013)   Mrs Shabina Mustafa was awarded the ENGRO Unsung Heroes award.

 

Prize Distribution Ceremony:

As the academic year drew close, a prize distribution ceremony was held for the students who had performed remarkably well in the final examinations. This was carried out to serve as a motivational tool for the students to continue to do well
Much needed outing:

After teachers training program Mrs. Mustafa treated the teachers at Port Grand.
Summer Activities:

Summer activities like the truck art sessions conducted by the volunteers of the Citizens Archive of Pakistan are underway currently.
Pride Of TGS:

Balbeer Singh, The Garage School ex student has passed first semester from Szabist with flying colors.
Hepatitis Program:

With recent sponsorships we were able to provide the first dose of the hepatitis B vaccination to the children last month; the other 2 remain to be administered in July and November respectively.

The Garage School family has now grown to 420 children, it needs more space.
Teachers Training Program:
(teacher training was held fron 22nd march to 26th of April 2013)

Some training sessions took place at the start of the year, some are underway. We would like to keep this going so that women interested in teaching, can benefit from this program and help our students get quality education.

 

Milestone of the year:Based on the exceptional results of grade 10, two of our students from the Jugnoo program (Urdu program, afternoon shift) got acceptance in the Army College and one student got accepted at the DHA Degree College for boys.
Field Trip:As part of our student counseling program, our older boys were taken to Aman Tech, an institute for vocational training for the people of low income, social and economic background. This initiative was taken so that they can have an exposure to the opportunities that wait after completing High School.
